Grade 1 Listed Building Refurbishment
Works are progressing on site at our St James’s Square project. This £10.5m refurbishment includes wall removals, roof removal, the addition of a new floor and a new roof terrace. Completion is expected in late 2024.

The building was designed as a magnificent townhouse by Robert Adam, the charismatic and enormously talented 18th Century architect. It contains some of Adam’s most sophisticated and beautiful interiors which are largely unaltered. The building was converted into offices in the 1930’s and was occupied by the Distillers Company for many years. It is Grade 1 listed.

These images show the current status on site. The new fourth floor beams are installed, the original roof has been removed, we’ve found many horrendous defects in the original timbers and uncovered an elegant brick dome, currently with a big services void in it.
