Update: Following our recent success in securing work under the Scheme Delivery Framework (SDF) worth an estimated £122m nationally to CRL, Area 9 – covering the West Midlands National Highways assets – is a significant part of that sum, with a share in excess of 50% of the total allowance. The timeframe we have, is to complete all allocated work over a 6 year period.
Presently, CRL Highways is recruiting to resource the upcoming 8 projects that have been notified for Year 1 and this will form part of the first tranche of work commencing on the 1st July.
Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) will be needed prior to each project starting on site, ensuring we are able to plan, manage and execute work as anticipated - effectively and efficiently.
The nature of the work is varied across the region, from cathodic protection and concrete repairs to painting of box beams. On a different project, renewing parapets, planing off and waterproofing a bridge structure will be needed.
We believe considerable opportunity exists for our Company to exploit the advantages we have been given and the range of work available.
