CRL Chesterfield recently teamed up with Flower Pod in Southwell to repair and restore outdoor facilities. Flower Pod is a social enterprise which supports adults with learning disabilities through horticulture activities. They are part of the Reach Learning Disability charity.
Six CRL colleagues spent two days on site, completing multiple projects and meeting the wonderful clients and volunteers. CRL repaired sections of a wooden retaining wall which had become rotten and unstable, repaired three picnic benches ready to be painted by Flower Pod clients, and water-proofed a leaky roof on a storage unit.
We had some great feedback from Flower Pod: “Heroes! Absolutely brilliant work by some of the chaps from Concrete Repairs Limited - CRL who have spent 2 days making a difference at Flower Pod Southwell… THANK YOU. Really big thank you!”
We hope to work with the Pod again in the future.
