CRL Restoration secure Osborne House refurbishment contract

CRL Restoration are pleased to announce our partnership with English Heritage and Restoration Architects Ptolemy Dean  to restore the Dunbar Wing of Osborne House, Isle of Wight.

Osborne House was built between 1845 and 1851 to provide Queen Victoria and Prince Albert with a private family home. It was built in the Italianate style in order to fit its setting on an island whose temperate climate and panoramic views over the Solent reminded Prince Albert of the Bay of Naples.

Our works include new lead work, slate replacement, stucco render repairs (lime), timber repairs, asphalt replacement, lightning protection works, lime wash coatings and general re-decorations. The works are due to start in November 2015.
