CRL Bristol have recently been awarded 4–6-year framework with Mid and West Wales Fire Service (MAWWF) for the repair of concrete drill towers with an anticipated value of up to £1.5M.

The tender submission for the framework required an extensive quality submission and CRL scored very highly on this having drawn on similar works completed from the Bristol office, as well as more recent contracts completed from our Falkirk office.

All works on the framework will be led by our contracts manager Roger Southwell and we will be using the framework as an opportunity to help progress members of our site teams to foreman position, whilst also offering our client continuity with the team they deal with throughout the framework.

MAWWF have already provided details of 57 sites where work is required and at our initial meeting, they indicated that they were very keen to progress the works due to a backlog of maintenance. All the sites have been prioritised by the client and we are working with them to review the works required and combine work at different sites to off increased value.

It is encouraging to see that MAWWF have a very proactive approach to progressing these works and we very much look forward to working with them.
