Temporary works has been implemented and AIPs have been produced for the access scaffolds and temporary paratop installation to assist with the cantilever sections of the bridge deck construction and installation of a new reinforced concrete bridge deck

This technically challenging project is due to be completed in October 2025 at a cost of £23million with the works package for CRL at a value of approximately £3.2million.

As recently featured in the leading construction industry press the existing bridge which carries St Anne’s Road over the M67 motorway required extensive structural repairs due to its age and its outdated style of construction & so a decision was made by the Client National Highways to replace the bridge completely.

 

Construction work started in 2023 with the demolition of the existing bridge by the principal contractor Tilbury Douglas Construction & CRL Highways were then engaged to undertake specialist works that included:
