The project value was £795,000 and was completed in 17 weeks.
The refurbishment involved several key activities:
- Traffic Management: Implemented on the ground floor to ensure the safety of vehicles during the refurbishment process.
- Phased Work Schedule: The first-floor deck refurbishment was divided into two phases, allowing for continued parking underneath the work area.
- Surface Preparation: The deck was planed and subjected to captive grit blasting to prepare for the application of the new waterproofing system.
- Concrete Repairs: A thorough survey and hammer testing was conducted to identify areas requiring concrete repairs, which were documented on as-built drawings.
- Installation of Waterproofing System: The Triflex ProPark ramp system was installed to provide long-lasting protection against water ingress.
- Final Touches: New road markings were applied, and repairs to gullies and Aco channels were completed to ensure proper drainage.
The project was successfully completed on time and within budget. CRL provided a 10-year warranty for the work carried out, ensuring the durability and reliability of the refurbishment.
During the final site walkaround, the client expressed their satisfaction of the quality of works and how well the contract was executed.
